Law No. 65-356 of 12 May 1965 created the short-term lease exempt from the commercial lease regime (bail dérogatoire), which, as its name indicates, derogates from the statutory lease.
From its inception and throughout the past fifty years, the exempt lease has not always met with unanimous approval.
